At Moniqua's former school, she was just getting by with the bare minimum and not applying herself to her full potential. At LMS, something clicked.

"I was intrigued by the delight the teachers had to teach their subjects and to teach me as a person," she says. "A seed was planted for learning and sharing with others.

"Thanks to LMS, I went on to get a bachelor's degree in social work and then a master's degree (MSW) from Temple University. I also spent some time in Honduras to share what I learned with others."

Today Moniqua is the program and members services manager at Mennonite Health Service Alliance & Anabaptist Providers Group. There she interacts with members and learns about the work they do in mental health, developmental disabilities, senior care, etc. She works at providing these Anabaptist agencies with the tools they need to make sure their clients are served.

"I can say wholeheartedly that I am truly blessed," she says. "The seed that was planted in my soul many years ago at LMS continues to grow and blossom."
